Rip Current at Little fistral
Here are a couple of examples of rip currents at Little Fistral. We’ve explained the scenario in the images.
If you were to swim here, I think you’d definitely need a plan ie. Fistral Beach is just around the corner (to the left). If you did get stuck and couldn’t get back in, I’d simply and calmly swim across to the left, around the rocks between the two beaches and exit at Fistral. Fistral is also lifeguarded, so once you move across, you should be monitored pretty quickly. You wouldn’t swim around to the right, as its a large headland, you can get strong water movement around the point at various tide times and you’ll have fewer eyes on you…
